2 Noteworthy Content Marketing Initiatives from Sadhguru

Acquisition Channels | Hacks

When done right, content marketing can become a great bridge between the brand and its audience. And if the brand is into health and well-being then the marketing helps transform lives. When it comes to spiritual gurus in this digital age, I think we can all agree that their content is gratefully received by thousands of devotees around the world. And in the case of Sadhguru, this number is in millions.

Recently, I wrote two Linkedin posts on noteworthy content marketing initiatives from Sadhguru & Isha Foundation. I guess I don’t have to give an introduction about Sadhguru, as he is more or less a household name, at least in India. But if you aren’t aware of him, he is a spiritual guru and one of the top most influential people in the country.

Free Downloads Initiative

In a fairly disruptive initiative, the organization has released a lot of their content for free use and monetisation. The monetisation bit being very interesting. Someone on Linkedin called it “Open Source Content”. It is kind of like that.

Spiritual organizations are often fairly old school in their approach and control mechanisms. So it is a very interesting initiative from Isha Foundation. I guess Sadhguru being the badass motorcyclist guy comes through in this too. 😀

Regional Language Content

Translating content into different languages to increase its reach is a fairly ongoing trend. And it will remain so for many years, as more brands get on board. I think it is a lovely one as it improves content accessibility significantly. The internet is life changing for people from all walks of life and it can’t be largely English dominated.

Very glad, Isha has taken this step of moving to regional content. Their reach numbers look really good.
